As an Emergency Medical Technician:

This area of our department is extremely vital. With 707 ambulance calls having been responded to in 2006, you can only imagine the man power used to fill that demand. You too can be a part of this life changing experience. All you need is a kind heart and caring spirit. You supply the desire and we will supply the training.

Good EMT’s are always needed. Don't sell yourself short, you may be the person we are looking for.

YOU CAN make a difference

This area of the department never gets boring.

Training

EMT-Basic class (186hrs)

CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation-included with EMT class)

AED (Automated Electronic Deliberator– Included with EMT class)

EVOC (Emergency Vehicle Operations Course)

There is no limit to the training in this field. Its up to you how far you can take it. You will be amazed at what you can do when you really put yourself in to such a worthy cause. The rewards are endless.
